专利摘要:
Tugboat stabilizer for tugboats intended to receive the line (10) that marks the line of fire between the tugboat and a towed vessel. It comprises a vertical support body (1) intended to be installed on the cover of the towing boat, and an arm (2) comprising a first end (3) hingedly attached to the support body (1), and comprises a second end ( 4) intended to receive an interchangeable coupling element (5) in which the stalk (10) is arranged. This is how the point of application of the draft is moved with respect to the state of the art, where it was applied to the vertical support body (1) directly, approaching it to the heeling shaft (8) of the tugboat to prevent it from overturning. TRAILER STABILIZER
DESCRIPTION
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention can be included in the technical field of tugboats and more specifically describes a tugboat stabilizer intended to prevent the tugboat from tipping and tipping. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The most commonly used trailer modes are divided, depending on the type of shot used, in direct and indirect draft. In the direct-towing trailer, the power of the tugboat engine produces the effective draft on the towed vessel while in the indirect draft the hydrodynamic force of the water on the hull is also used (the power is regulated with the angle of the pulling force of the trailer).
In the indirect firing method, the tugs include a biton through which the axle passes, which is the rope that marks the tow line, and which is located between the razor and the towed boat. Generally, the known bitons of the state of the art comprise a pollin arranged on the deck of the ship (in the tug of the tugboat) from which two vertical or inclined cylinders with respect to the vertical start and which are connected at the top by a cylinder in arc shape
The biggest drawback of this method is that when the tugboat pulls a nearby ship with a much higher deck, the ax that leaves the tugboat carries a very significant vertical component. During the towing maneuver the movements that the tugboat has to carry out around the ship can take it to a position in which that shot of the axle also has a transverse component to the tugboat.
The shot of the razor's stake coming out of the main biton, or failing that through a hook located in the groove, passes a certain distance from the tug axis of the tugboat, above said axis, and this produces a torque of heel on the tugboat that tends to overturn it.
In addition, this effect is enhanced by the fact that the horizontal component of the draft in many cases causes the tug to move in the direction of the draft and the water displaced by its hull exerts a hydrodynamic brake that produces a torque with respect to the axis of the heel. in the same sense. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention describes a tugboat stabilizer that solves the prior art problems described above. This stabilizer is installed on the deck of tugboats, preferably between the razor and the end of the tugboat that is closest to the towed vessel. The stabilizer comprises a support body that is installed in the tugboat cover and an arm that is articulated linked to said support body.
Thus the arm comprises a first end articulated jointly to the support body and a second end intended to receive a hooking element that can be for example a hook or a bit intended to receive the axle (which determines the tow line).
As the arm is articulated with respect to the support body, when the tugboat moves in tow movements, the axle acquires different positions by pulling the towed vessel, the arm adapting to the direction of the axle's shot. That is, the arm can be rotated to orient in the direction of the axle from one side end of the ship to the other side end, passing through all intermediate points to better adapt to the needs of each specific towing position.
When the transverse shot is produced leaving the tug of the tugboat from the coupling element of the stabilizer of the invention, these shots pass a certain distance from the tug axis of the tug, but below it. The result is that it produces a pair that heels on the tugboat but tends to adrizar it, that is to say, it drags it but with tendency to raise it, not to overturn it. This is one of the main features of the present invention.
Additionally the stabilizer can absorb the vertical component of the shot. In the previously described embodiment, the support body is the element that supports said vertical component, passing the tensions to the tug deck.
In another embodiment, the stabilizer further comprises a guide, which delimits the movement of the arm in the direction of its horizontal rotation and in the vertical direction (does not allow movement in the vertical direction). It is arranged on the tug deck, around the support body. It is a curved guide that has a radius equal to the length of the arm that moves guided in it. DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
To complement the description that is being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred example of practical implementation thereof, a set of drawings is attached as an integral part of said description. where, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented:

Figure 4.- Shows a view of a tugboat stabilizer installed on the deck of a ship.
Figure 5.-Shows a view of a stabilizer arm in which the coupling element is a bit. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
An example of embodiment of the present invention is described below with the help of Figures 1 to 5.
The tugboat stabilizer is intended to be installed on tugboats to receive the axle (10) that marks the firing line between the tug boat and a towed boat. As described above, the stake is the rope that joins both vessels during the towing operation.
The stabilizer comprises a support body (1) intended to be installed on the tug boat deck. The support body (1) can be directly installed in the cover or it can be installed in the cover by means of intermediate elements. An example is shown in Figure 4 in which the support body (1) is a pollen. Preferably, it is arranged on the main stern deck, aft of the razor and on the center line of the towing boat.
It also comprises an arm (2) with a first end (3) articulated with the support body (1) and with a second end (4) to which an interchangeable coupling element (5) is attached to receive the stake ( 10). The articulated joint between the arm (2) and the support body (1) can be carried out, for example, by a ball joint or by means of a shaft and a bearing, etc.
The hooking element (5) is the element in which the stake (10) that connects the towing boat and the towed boat is placed. In one embodiment of the invention the hooking element (5) is a hook, as seen for example in Figure 4, and in another embodiment of the invention it is a bit, as seen for example in Figure 5. The body of support (1) moves the tensions that it suffers to the deck of the tug boat. In this way it absorbs the vertical component of the firing line (the vertical component of the draft is passed to the anchor of the tug boat).
The coupling element (5) can be connected to the second end (4) of the arm (2) in an articulated manner. This allows the tilting movement of the hitch element
(5) with respect to the arm (2) and the trajectory of the stake (10) more easily adapts to the specific measurements and positions at any time depending on the towing operations and the dimensions of the towing boat and the towed boat.
Figure 1 shows how to choose a tug boat that carries the stake (10) directly to the deck, for example by means of a bit directly installed on the deck, as is done in the state of the art. This figure shows how the heel shaft (8) of the tug boat has been moved to a point where said tugboat is completely chosen. In addition, the resulting moment applied to the towing boat is the product of the draft (T1) and the distance (D1 ’) of the heel shaft (8) to which it is applied. As at this moment the distance (D1 ’) is increasing (due to the displacement of the heel axis (8)) the moment
resulting increases more and more, which causes the axis of heel (8) to continue moving. This effect is what causes the tug boat to tip over.
The adrizante pair is the resulting moment when this one tends to straighten the ship and not to overturn it. It is calculated considering the distance to which the force is applied (distance between the boat's heel shaft (8) and the hitch point of the axle (10), that is, the hitching element (5) of the stabilizer). In figure 2 you can see the direction of the measures used for the calculation of the adrizante pair.
Adrifying pairs are so small in the present invention that they barely pick up the tug boat. This is because the length dimensioning
(R) of the arm (2) is made so that the distances between the coupling element (5) (either a bit or a hook) and the heel axis (8) are minimal (and preferably positive).
In said figure 2, the values of shot and distance to the axis of heel (8) of the state of the art are shown where the shot (T1) extends from the support body (1) which is where it is arranged in the state of the technique a biton or a hook directly attached to the deck of the tug boat. Said shot (T1) is separated a first distance (D1) from the heel shaft (8) of the boat.
In this same figure the new situation is observed, represented by the shots (T2, T3) from the hooking elements (5), which can be a bit or a hook, arranged at the second end (4) of the arm (3) . Thus it can be seen that the distance between the shot from the bit (T2) is at a distance (D2) from the heel shaft (8) which is less than the distance (D1) from the support body (1) to the axis of heel (8) and that is also positive. In this way the generated moment tends to adrizar the towing boat that is the objective of the present invention.
In the same way, in case the hooking element (5) is a hook like the one shown in that figure 2, the shot of the stake (10) when passing through it (T3) is also separated from the heel shaft (8 ) of the ship a distance (D3) less than the first distance (distance between the support body (1) and the heel shaft (8)). In this case a positive result is obtained, as explained in the previous paragraph, which tends to adrizar the ship.
In another embodiment of the invention, which can be seen, for example, in Figure 3, the stabilizer additionally comprises a curved guide (6) arranged around the support body (1), also on the towing boat deck. The guide (6) is arranged at a distance from the support body (1) corresponding to the length (R) of the arm (2) and is intended to guide the movement of the arm (2).
Said arm (2) can be moved along the entire guide (6) between a first end (8) and a second end (9) of said guide. Preferably at said points there are stops provided to ensure the end of stroke of the arm (2).
In one embodiment of the invention the stabilizer comprises at its second end
(4) sliding means (7) intended to move in the guide (6). These
sliding means (7) can be wheels.
Thus, the stabilizer of the present invention, the arm (2) can be moved from one side of the tugboat to the other by the side of the firing line, that is, the arm (2) is aligned with the direction where you are pulling the tugboat. The angle in the horizontal plane is assimilated by the arm by turning on the support body (1). The vertical component of the shot can be transmitted through the sliding elements (7) to the guide (6) or through the support body (1) (in case there is no guide (6)). In this second case the support body is larger for
10 to assimilate the bending moment.
In summary, the result of installing the tugboat stabilizer on the deck of one of them is that the shot is applied closer to the heel shaft (8) preventing the tugboat from tipping over. In fact the distance of these forces to the axis of
15 heel (8) is sought to be positive for the shot to act adrising the boat.
